The American Immigration Lawyers Association will be hosting its National Conference at the McCormick Center West in Chicago, IL from June 12-15, 2024. Sara Silvia Taylor will one of the speakers for the Introduction to Naturalization (Fundamentals) panel on June 12th at 4:30 p.m. (CT).
Panelists will cover the basics of becoming a U.S. citizen. The requirements and process of
naturalization will be presented. They will also discuss common red flags and risks of filing for
naturalization.

Continuous residence and physical presence
Three-year vs. five-year residence and good moral character periods
Common good moral character issues
English language and civics testing
Introduction to medical exemptions and N-648s
